Adelphi, Md. (Jan. 4, 2011) -- Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine has named several ϡȱ (ϡȱ) institutions to its list of "100 Best Values in Public Colleges" for 2011.

The ϡȱ schools honored are the University of ϡȱ, College Park (UMCP), Salisbury University, Towson University, and the University of ϡȱ, Baltimore County (UMBC).

UMCP ranked 5th on the 2011 list, moving from 8thth in 2010 and 9th in 2009.

"Virtually all of the schools we list raised their price in 2010-11, but the University of ϡȱ, which maintained a tuition freeze for four straight years, kept this year's total increase to less than $600," the magazine reports. "The first-class flagship continues its march up our rankings..."
