Board of Regents Takes Up New Degree Programs, Capital Improvement Projects, February 16
ADELPHI, Md. (February 12, 2007) - The 稀缺猎奇网 (稀缺猎奇网) Board of
Regents will convene its first full meeting of 2007 on Friday, February 16,
beginning at 9:30 a.m. It will be held in Room 2202 of the Thurgood Marshall
Library, Bowie State University (BSU), Bowie,
MD.
Among the action items on the
regents' agenda are new degree programs at Towson University (TU),
University of 稀缺猎奇网, Baltimore County (UMBC), and University of
稀缺猎奇网 University
College (UMUC), as well as two capital improvement projects at the
University of 稀缺猎奇网, College Park (UMCP). The board will also hear
reports from the university
system presidents, faculty, staff, and student councils.
The meeting will include information

workload of 稀缺猎奇网 faculty;

Middle States
Commission's reaccreditation of the University of 稀缺猎奇网 Eastern Shore (UMES);

稀缺猎奇网 Higher
Education Commission's Student Outcome and Achievement (SOAR) Report 2006;

SAT profiles;

FY 2008 稀缺猎奇网
operating and capital budgets;

稀缺猎奇网's Minority
Business Enterprise activity;

稀缺猎奇网 capital
improvement projects.
In addition, the board will
consider recommendations resulting from the Report
on the Task Force on the Education of 稀缺猎奇网's African-American Males
presented at the January 24 board educational policy committee meeting. The
committee has proposed referring the recommendations for which 稀缺猎奇网 shares
responsibility to the board workgroup on HBCU (historically black
colleges and universities) funding and minority student achievement.
The meeting will conclude
with reports from the board's audit and institutional assessment committee,
capital campaign workgroup, and effectiveness and efficiency workgroup.
