ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation Meets September 6

Adelphi, Md. (Sept. 1, 2017) -- The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø (ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø) Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The meeting will take place on the 14th floor of the Saratoga Office Building at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, Baltimore (UMB), in Conference Room 03-117. The building is located at 220 North Arch Street in Baltimore, Md.

The committee will meet in public session and hold an informational discussion on a work plan for a report on executive compensation and governance. The group will vote on a review of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø executive compensation philosophy and hear several information items, including a discussion on definition of tenure and related policies. As a final public agenda item, the committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session.

In closed session, the committee would discuss the following items specifically exempted in the Open Meetings Act from public consideration.

Those items are: A five-year performance review of a ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø president; approval of collective bargaining negotiations relating to Frostburg State University and AFSCME for nonexempt employees; update on ongoing collective bargaining negotiations; review of proposed fiscal year 2018 compensation for presidents and chancellor; review of chancellor's performance goals and objectives; information update regarding specific athletics contract subject to review under BOR VII-10.0 Policy; and consult with counsel in connection with a personnel matter.
