ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Board of Regents to Meet September 20

Adelphi, Md. (Sept. 17, 2013) -- The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø (ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø) Board of Regents at its next meeting will present the annual Regents Staff Awards and vote on several items recently approved by the Committee on Finance.

The public session is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 20 in the Atrium of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, College Park (UMCP).

As an information item, the board will acknowledge ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø staff who received the annual ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Regents Staff Awards. These honorees from various ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø institutions will be recognized during a separate morning reception before the public meeting.

The board will vote on a resolution to spend ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø cash balances on revenue-bond authorized projects; a lease extension at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, College Park (UMCP); and consulting services for the implementation of the Kuali Financial System at UMCP. Among the additional information items is a report on the Coppin State University Implementation Plan.

After the public meeting, the board will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. If that vote is approved, the board in closed session will consider executive function items and items exempted from consideration in open session under the Open Meetings Act.
