ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Regents Finance Committee and Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization Meet Nov. 17

Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 15, 2011) -- The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø (ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø) Board of Regents Committee on Finance will vote on the facilities master plan at Bowie State University and the construction of a public safety building at Towson University.  The committee will also hear a presentation on the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø opening fall enrollments.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 17 in Room 767 of the Albin O. Kuhn Library at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, Baltimore County (UMBC). The committee will announce that it is reconvening in closed, executive session before the scheduled resumption of the public meeting at 11 a.m. in the open area of the 7th floor.

At 12:00 noon, the Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization will meet in public session at UMBC, also on the 7th floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library. The committee will discuss approaches for conducting an economic impact study for the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø as well as tracking the formation of new companies and associated jobs.

The committee also will hear a presentation from Dean G. Anandalingam of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, College Park on opportunities to strengthen engagement with the state's venture capital community. In addition, the committee will review progress on the Report of the Cyber Security Task Force.
